Ennis, TX (October 11, 2023) Top Fuel team owner and driver, Krista Baldwin, will be filling in for Scott Palmer in his PBR Top Fuel dragster entry for the Texas NHRA FallNationals this weekend at the Texas Motorplex. In addition to a new ride, Baldwin welcomes Red Line Oil as a partner for her Top Fuel journey. With the capability of running in the 3.7 second range, Baldwin is eager to get down to Texas and get to business with the SPR 5050 team.

A few weeks ago, Scott Palmer suffered an on track incident with his nitro powered Studebaker. With a broken wrist and some other injuries, he would not be able to compete in this weekend’s Stampede of Speed. With Baldwin actively looking for a new chassis for her program, this opportunity presented itself at just the right time.

“I have been tirelessly looking for a new chassis for my Top Fuel program,” says Baldwin. “And now that we are in the thick of the countdown, many teams are not even thinking of what they are going to do in the off-season, let alone when they will be getting a new car. When Palmer called, I knew this was the perfect next step.”

In addition to racing this weekend, Baldwin announces her partnership with Red Line Oil. With the ability to grow her racing program with new partners, Baldwin is excited to bring on a company that provides both excellent customer service and great racing oil and lubricants.

“Red Line Oil is just the next step for the new phase for KBR,” says Baldwin. “When we run the oil and lubricants in our 11,000 horsepower machines, the parts come out brand new. And that’s a huge deal when I’m the one on the hook for the complete cost of the car. I am able to re-run parts over and over again because of Red Line Oil.”

“We are a family at Red Line Oil, we work hard for the stores and locations that carry our products,” says Mark Beatty of Red Line Oil. “Every step we take we are taking with someone else. We’ve built our brand around this philosophy, and we talk about it daily, #lifteachotherup. We are excited as we’ve seen Krista carry herself in the exact same manner, that is how we know this a perfect fit for all. Thank you, Krista, for joining our family.”

Baldwin is eager to get in the PBR, McLeod Racing Top Fuel entry this weekend because of the chance of joining the 3.7 second club in Top Fuel.

“Over the course of the year, my team, led by tuner Scott Graham, has been working so hard to get the canopy dragster in the 3.7 second range. I have changed all the parts that I can and come to find out that my chassis is just not what it used to be. Manufactured in 2009 from Don Schumacher Racing, it is just time to get something more up to date and something that will be more forgiving when we throw a tune up at it.”

Baldwin continues to assemble her team for the 2024 season. Until then, she’s going to have some fun the Scott Palmer 5050 race team at one of the biggest events on tour. In addition to PBR and McLeod Racing, Baldwin welcomes back Revchem Composites, Mainline Sales, Breen Engineering, Sam and Chris Maus, and Orange County Plumbing to her team for Texas.
