With the second to last Mission Foods NHRA national event this weekend in Las Vegas, It make perfect sense to have our in house prognosticator Billy “The Greek” Kleinspehn put his bets in for who or what is going to transpire at the Strip in Las Vegas. It’s hard to believe it’s not only Halloween Weekend but it’s also the second to last race of the season of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. It seems like it was just yesterday in the spring for the four wide race and here we are with two races left until we crown the 2025 Champions.

So, let’s get the cards and dice ready as we give you this week’s tips to hit the Jackpot in Vegas.

Number 5 The Last Hurrah 

 

It’s hard to believe but this weekend will be the final weekend of the Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Season. The season finale is shaping up to be one of the best as the Top 3 are separated by just 16 points Billy Banaka Number 1 Mike Stavrinos Number 2 and Derek Menholt Number 3 as this championship battle will be one that you don’t wanna miss. 

Number 4 The Return of An Old Friend

The fans of NHRA Pro Stock Bike will rejoice to see the return of former NHRA National Event winner Karen Stoffer this weekend in Vegas. With 16 bikes on the property this weekend how fitting it would be to see her in victory lane Sunday afternoon. 

Number 3 Back In The Saddle Again 

As said in the lyrics of the famed hit song by Areosmith fans of NHRA Pro Stock will get to see Dave Connolly back in the saddle again for the second time this season. After suffering a second round loss to his teammate Greg Anderson at Epping can Connolly who was won here in the Spring of 05 and the Pontiac Showdown in 07 make it 3 more rounds to hit the jackpot in Vegas? 

Number 2 National ET Championships

In all of racing there is no group that is more passionate and competitive than the participants of the NHRA Sportsman classes. With the Jegs Allstars just a few weeks ago it’s time for the hometown hero’s the stars of the NHRA Summit Et Series to take the spotlight in Vegas for the Summit ET National Championship.

This unique event features the champions from all seven NHRA Divisions and Canada racing in Super Pro Pro Sportsman and Top Bike for a chance to be a National Champion and with a new Team Championship on the line this is something you don’t wanna miss. 

Number 1 New Crew Chief Same Results for Ashley

The biggest story of the weekend involves Top Fuel title contender Justin Ashley as the announcement was made that Mike Green his Crew Chief left the team following the Dallas National Event. 

Jason McCulloch would be named the new Crew Chief and with only two races left and 141 points separating points leader Kalitta and Ashley can the new combination put a dent in Kalitta’s hopes of becoming a 2 time Top Fuel Champion.
