When most tracks across the northern part of the USA are closed, Maple Grove Dragway, west of Philadelphia, keeps things going in the off season with a series of winter events that cater to the No Prep and bracket racers along with  street racers who bring their daily driver out to the Pennsylvania track for some fun. After a great turnout at the New Years at the Grove event at the beginning of 2025, the 2025 Ice Breaker put a lid on the “Cold” weather events at the track.

The Ice Breaker event at Maple Grove Raceway brought an exciting close to the Winter Series, with freezing temperatures doing little to cool down the action on the track. While the harsh weather kept some racers away, the competitors who showed up made sure the season finale was one to remember.

The No Prep car count may have been lower than expected, but the intensity was sky-high. The pits were filled with teams making last-minute adjustments, determined to put on a show despite the cold conditions. The racers who braved the weather delivered, proving once again that passion for speed knows no season. One of the biggest highlights of the day was the Daily Driver Shootout, featuring over 100 cars fighting for the $1,000 grand prize. After some fierce competition,

Doug Fellenbaum Jr. came out on top in his Chevy Silverado pickup, defeating Carson Simpers in the final round to secure the win.

With the Winter Series now officially in the books, all eyes turn to the next big events at Maple Grove Raceway. Mark your calendars for the Swap Meet on March 15th, where racers and enthusiasts can buy, sell, and trade parts to get ready for the season ahead. And don’t miss our very first Maple Grove-produced No Prep event, Summer Daze, on August 9th—it’s shaping up to be an event you won’t want to miss! Stay tuned for more updates, and we’ll see you at the track!
