The 3rd annual New Years at the Grove did not disappoint. With the event being pushed back a week due to rain on the original date. All systems were a go.

A little late night work on Friday made us question our sanity. Pushing water off the track that started to frost over. I got to the track at 5am to see what we would have in front of us. Just push a little snow and a couple ice spots but it was simple. This is an event we look forward to that Kyle Beswick puts a lot of effort into.

Temperatures were in the 20’s but the racers put on a show. Great fields in Small Tire and Street class kept a full day of racing. A few close calls, some broken parts, and one incident that stopped racing for a little. A really great following of spectators and crew members came out to brave the cold temperatures.

As the day went on Maple Grove and Kyle Beswick worked hard to finish the event. We were able to finish all contested classes. Thank you to Kyle Beswick for trusting Maple Grove Raceway with your event. Thank you to the spectators that braved the weather.

We really have a great team at Maple Grove that will brave the heat in the summer. The ice cold temperatures in the winter to make sure racers have a great time.
