In a case of sensatory overload, Saturday night at the California Hot Rod Reunion featuring Nitro Revival and presented by Good Vibrations Motorsports was a mind blower to say the least.

The first year back to the “Patch” after a few years in Irwindale Dragway, the Cacklefest was on everybody’s “Must” list for the event. Nitro Revival’s Steve Gibbs, Cindy Gibbs, along with Famoso’s Blake Bowser, and Kleet Norris hit it out of the park.

Over five dozen nostalgia cars were on hand for the twilight start of the Cackle with some cars already on the starting line to be statically started.

Meanwhile the rest of the huge field were push started down the famous Famoso return road to the roar of the crowd on hand.

In what seemed like an hour, cars from the “Golden” days of drag racing were fired up. As soon as you thought there weren’t any more cars to push down, another car would fire up. The cars stretched down the strip to past the halfway point of the track. The smell of nitro was thick in the air adding to the surreal experience.
