Chaos Supernationals Moved to Sunday Finals in Norwalk

After the weather report for Saturday looked like lots of rain, Chaos President and promoter Chris Graves and his team decided to move the finals to Sunday, promising better weather at the Norwalk Ohio track. Two full sessions were completed until the decision to move the finals to Sunday.
“While Mother Nature forced our hand on Saturday, we couldn’t be more excited to crown our champions on a historic ‘Sunday, Sunday, Sunday’ at Summit Motorsports Park,” said Bill Bader and Chris Graves. “With the best CHAOS Funny Cars, Altereds, Dragsters and Door Cars in the business and free Velvet Ice Cream for our early bird fans, this is shaping up to be an unforgettable Memorial Day weekend tradition.”

Leading the ‘A’ field and was Keith Zimmerer driving the Penny Pincher 2 Mustang with a 3.64. The ex Paul Gill car has been nothing but a winner for Texas racer Zimmerer winning the season opener in Dallas following that up with a win a Tulsa.

Right behind Zimmerer was fellow Texas racer Alan Bradshaw with a 3.680 in Dallas Schott’s Dakota Pony II Mustang.

Connecticut racer Wayne Hofmann holds down the ‘A’ bump with a 4.129 in his patriotic Dodge Daytona

Long time East Coast racer Bobby Toth took the Crazy Horse Mustang to the top spot in the ‘B’ field with a 4.13

Pennsylvania racer Rocky Pirrone put the Super Camaro in the #2 spot of the ‘B’ field and as Rocky tells it,” This is a brand new combo and has plenty more in it.”

Fuel Chaos was also part of the show with the Fuel Altered of defending DMP Awnings champ John Umlauf leading the charge with a quick 3.57 at 223 going into Sunday’s eliminations at Summit Motorsports Park.
