The 11th FE Race and Reunion was held at Beaver Springs Dragway located midway between Lewistown and Selinsgrove, PA. The four day event began with test and tune sessions on Thursday and Friday. After Friday’s racing concluded, beer and brats were enjoyed by everyone.

When Saturday’s time shots were completed, eliminations among the five classes were contested. The racing was limited to the 1/8th mile due to the rainfall that occurred Friday evening.

A car show and swap meet was also part of the last day of the Reunion. Allen Platt, son of the Ford legend Hubert Platt, made several exhibition runs in a tribute 1965 Ford Falcon  “Georgia Shaker “ gasser. The car count for both the drag vehicles and show cars was not the usual turnout due to the weather forecast.

The racing program was accelerated and completed before the rains arrived in late afternoon. Hopefully Mother Nature will co-operate in September of 2024 and once again fill the grounds of Beaver Springs Dragway with Ford FE participants and their loyal fans.
